Macramas

Makramas known from antiquity as the art of tying a cotton string with a crochet hook. Known as an amulet usually decorated with feathers, beads and other ornaments to which we attribute magical properties.
Dream catchers were usually hung over the bedding or at the entrance to the homestead. According to the beliefs of some, the dreams that haunted the sleepers at home had to pass through the amulet. The dense net was supposed to let only good dreams through, and to stop the nightmares that would disappear with the first rays of the sun. Such a dream was supposed to catch itself in a net and flow down the feathers. Cotton macramas decorating the interior give it warmth and coziness.
